Dude, that was really good.

That was really good, the fight choreography was sweet. The animation was a little too slow-paced, but it really didn't take much from the movie, and it was damn funny, especially...ESPECIALLY the MGS Menu/BFG9000 scene! That scene right there was on a higher level than most sight gags I've ever seen. This completely deserves to be featured, and I'm NOT saying that just because I know you. I'm saying it because it's a fucking funny movie, and it's solidly animated and put together. You've got a definite fan, dude.

One of the best stick films EVER

I remember watching your stuff back when StickSuicide was stilll around, and that stuff was awesome, too! What was that one caroon you did called, War, I think? I dunno, but you should send that in, it's definitely worthy! Anyway, you totally rocked back then and you rock harder now! I remember you were like "Hey, um, I made this cartoon, and oh by the way I'm only 11 years old." Good to see that you're still making some of the most kick-ass stick movies ever, and this one just looks amazing. Now, I understand that you were going for dark and gritty, but at times it was to the point where I couldn't see anything at all, even at the preloader. at first I thought the computer had frozen or something, but it turned out that the preloader was just too dark. The action itself was fast, furious, and realistic, without the overused slo-mo matrix-y dodging and weaving, and it came off having a real cool, believable action movie vibe. The scene transitions and camera changes were well timed to the music, and over all this was a very cinematic, well directed piece of stick-action, the likes of which haven't been seen since the later episodes of Joe Zombie, which this is definitely on par with from a directorial standpoint, and the animation is much better than those old favorites. It's great to see you're still around, and also great to see the next generation of stick movies is in very talented hands.

ToughLuck responds:

Wow. Man thanks for summin that up ;)

Thanks for everythin, and yeah. Sorry the movie was on the dark side.

Everyone should see this flash

A lot of flash movies that try to be emotional and inspiring end up just being sappy, but this one manages to avoid that and leave you with bittersweet feelings at the end. It was sad, yet happy, and had some...interesting humor in it that did a good job of providing an emotional progression from feeling lost, to nostalgic, to sad, and then finally we are provided with a thought provoking ending that reminds us that we are never left alone, even by those that go ahead of us from this world. The fight underneath the tree didn't make much sense, but it looked nice. And the directing was brilliant. In short, it was one of the most thought provoking flashes I've ever seen, and provides some real insight into the nature of true friendship.

Cute

It was funny and it made me smile. It was quite a good looking flash.

jerbjpg responds:

thank you.. glad i could supply a smile.

Try harder, you can do it.

The movie itself wasn't that good, really, but the opening was pretty cool, with the letters flying into place, and your selection of music was good. The main joke wasn't that funny, but the Matrix poster was a funny thing for a wannabe hacker to have in his room. Try harder next time to maintain quality through the whole movie, and not just the beginning. I wish you good luck as a flash artist, but I can't recommend anything in this except the cool opening to other people.

icarus responds:

I appreciate your honesty and constructiveness. I'll take this all into consideration.
thnx alot.

uuuuuum..

That was....odd... not bad, though, but odd.... Nothing in it was too special, but nothing in it was necessarily bad either. At points the visuals becoame too serious for it to be funny, like the dead mexican at the beginning, and the one crying in the alley, but I got some chukles. btw, I don't have anything against Mexicans!

dookiemoole responds:

thats the joke, its so violent and sick yet it has happy music

Some decent sound could have gone a long way...

Sound makes or breaks a movie, especially in this case. The graphics were static, so that means that you had to carry the movie on your voicing. Unfortunately, you didn't do enough with that. The voices were all whispery and samey. I would have loved to hear some bad Morpheus or Smith impressions, but you didn't seem to try very hard, and ended up with boring dialogue. The trinity-vampire thing was kinda funny, but one funny joke doesn't carry a movie. If the voicing were a little more spirited, then this would have been a much more interesting flash, but as it is, it just isn't anything special. Just be a little more spirited next time, that's all.

DazFromTaz responds:

Well I tried on the voice acting, it's just that my voice isn't very......talented. As I said in a previous review, I'd love it if some people would like to do some voice overs for it!! I'll credit you and everything.

Heh heh..

taht was funny. nice graphics, and I liked the line about the potato. The brief scene of...yeah...I thought was a little unnecessary. all around great job, tho!

HappyHarry responds:

How can leprechauns rodgering women be inappropriate, are you a Christian?!?

hehe, thanks though, and I loved your X-wing thing

SHWEET MOVIE!

That was really cool. The graphics were beautiful. I really wasn't expecting that ending, so you really got me. I was drinking soda and it went right up my nose. MAKE MORE!

HappyHarry responds:

Make more!? No more Batman ones, but there will be different types...

sweeeeeeeeeet.......

that was cool. impressive sketching, nice music. soooooo dark. which is a good thing. see-through characters is visually offsetting, though, and gives cause to wonder if it is deliberate or accidental. keep submitting, but try to make your characters a little more...visible.

BIG HUG!

"I am not going to corrupt your minds. I am going to downright destroy them." -my original 'about you' when I was 15. Leaving it up because it's hilariously lame.
